Le Puy-en-Velay is the administrative capital of the Haute-Loire department, and is famous as the starting point of the Via Podiensis, one of France’s main routes towards Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
Getting there
The Originals City, Hotel Bristol is situated close to the centre of Le Puy-en-Velay, on Avenue du Maréchal Foch, one of the city’s most vibrant streets. There is a car park directly opposite the hotel. The hotel is a 7-minute walk from Le Puy-en-Velay train station and 8 minutes from the Crozatier Museum.
The hotel is close to the N102 and N88 roads and has a pay-and-display guest car park directly opposite the Foch Le Puy-en-Velay public car park.
Le Puy-en-Velay is also served by an airport in the nearby town of Loudes, 10km to the west. Twin Jet runs several direct flights per week to Paris-Orly airport.
